We were delighted to collaborate with composer and musician Stephen Doherty on a special commission — The North West Suite.

About Stephen Doherty

A talented multi-instrumentalist from Foxford, Stephen plays flute, accordion, and whistles.
He has toured in over 25 countries with a wide range of productions, performs regularly with The Seán Keane Band, and has appeared frequently on national television and radio. A multi All-Ireland champion, Stephen has composed an extensive repertoire of original tunes, reflecting his deep connection to traditional and contemporary Irish music.

🎻 The Collaboration

Over the course of two years, Stephen worked closely with the Ceol na nÓg Orchestra to create The North West Suite— a celebration of musical creativity and community spirit. The suite was premiered at the Hawk’s Well Theatre in May 2025, marking a proud milestone for everyone involved.
